Many thanks to all who participated in the 2003 Kajaks High School and World Athletics Day Meet. The competition was terrific and the weather even held out!! We can't ask for much more than that.
Richard and I will retiring as Meet Directors after this year's event - it's been 9 years and we've thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A lot of you have been at the meet for all of those 9 years! Keep coming back!!
A special thanks to the BC Athletics Officials who've always been there to keep us "on track" and to the Kajaks volunteers who've come out rain or shine every year. Without the volunteers we'd never have lasted this long!
Yours in Sport!
Richard & "Sam" Collier

Apr 3/03 - Kajaks masters win again!!
Our teams placed 1, 3 and 4 out of eleven 4 person teams in the annual April Fool's Run from Gibsons to Sechelt, March 30. The team of Peter Phillips, Josef Orzechowski, John Winfield and J.J. Schmidt were 1st. The team of Avril Douglas, Lori Wong and Noelle Sarrazin (running 2 legs due a last minute cancellation), were 3rd. George Agnew, John Lee, Jim Robson and Chris Fryer came in 4th. A fine effort by all, particularly considering that John Lee was the only one under 50,and most of the runners on other teams were much younger. Gramma's Pub, on the Gibsons waterfront provided much needed fluid replacement and tasty grub to complete the day for most. The French connection stayed over in a B&B on Sunday night and had a great time.  - Submitted by George Agnew
