  • Junior (JR) - Grades 9 & 10
  • Senior (SR) - Grades 11 & 12
  • Canadian Junior Team Qualifying (CJTQ) - Athletes must be 19 or younger as of Dec. 31 2008

Fees

  • Individuals - $8.00 per event per athlete
  • Relay - $12.00 per team
  • School Teams $250.00

Email entries (Word or Excel attachment acceptable for teams) must include the following:

Individual events -

  • Last Name, First Name
  • Gender
  • School/Club Team
  • BCA # or full birth date if not an individual, competitive BC Athletics member
  • Event(s) entered in and seed mark

Relay Teams -

  • Last Name, First Name and position for all team members
  • Gender
  • School/Club Team
  • BCA # or full birth date if not an individual, competitive BC Athletics member
  • Relay(s) entered in and seed mark

Meet Information

  • Run according to BC Athletics / Athletics Canada & IAAF Rules
  • JR athletes are permitted to enter in SR or CJTQ events but must do so for the duration of the meet.
  • Participants must hold a, competitive, individual BC Athletics, BC Athletics School Club or BC Athletics School Day of Event Membership ($3.00) in order to take part in the meet.
  • Track Spikes not to exceed 7mm in length
  • Throwing implements provided. Personal implements allowed but must be weighed in 1 hour before start of meet. No personal implements allowed after the start of meet.
  • All personal equipment and implements are the responsibility of the owners. Kajaks and its organizers will not be accountable for lost or stolen equipment.
  • Starting blocks will be provided. Athletes wishing to use their own may do so.
  • 4 attempts in field events
  • In events where ages are combined results will be scored separately.
  • Track events take preference over field events and will not be delayed. Athletes must report to the field event official and advise them that they will be competing in a track event. Athletes must return to the field event as soon as possible. Athletes may loose an attempt if he or she is delayed in returning to the field event.
  • Where numbers of entries does not warrant heats the event will be run as a final.

Awards

  • Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
  • Points: 1st (10), 2nd (8), 3rd (6), 4th (5), 5th (4), 6th (3), 7th (2), 8th (1)
  • Aggregate Awards for Men and Women in each division
  • Team aggregate awards for total points for men (all divisions) and women (all divisions)
