BC Athletics Track and Field Championships Jamboree, Kamloops, July 11th-13th

Our 15-year old athletes were in action at Kamloops, all returning with 2 medals.

Shai Davis ran extremely fast times to win both the 100m and 200m races. Her time of 12.13 in the 100m is a new Kajaks club record for her age group, and her times for both 100m and 200m put her in the All-Time Top 10 for 15-year olds, and beats the Youth-15 BC Athletics Award performance standards. Hayley Stewart won both long and triple jump, jumping almost 5m in long jump. Her triple jump of 10.50m easily meets the performance standards for that event.

Aman Kang and Christian Covington put in some excellent performances in throws. This meet is also the selection meet for the BC teams to compete at the Legion Championship.

Together with the 14-yr old athletes, these athletes will be competing next in the BC Summer Games.
