This is an article that was in the Link Newspaper August 12, 2006
about one of our master members Andy Aadmi and was written by R. Paul
Dhillion.
Andy Aadmi - The Master Of Track And Field
SURREY - Well known indo-Canadian businessman Andy Aadmi's philosophy is that
health is your wealth, and he put that into action at the just completed
National Masters Track and Field Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Aadmi, who competes in the M70 (70-74) age division, has been competing
in Masters track and field for only two years. Never-the-less, at the
Canadian Masters Championships he won twelve medals, four gold and eight
silver. He competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 4x100 Relay, Shot put,
Javelin, Hammer throw, Discus, Long Jump, Weight throw and Weight
Pentathlon. During this super-human feat Aadmi broke four BC records.
Prior to the national championships, Aadmi competed in the BC Masters
Track and Field Championships in June, where he won seven medals and broke
4 meet records.
Aug 2006: KAJAKS Athletes shine at BC SENIOR GAMES
The BC Senior Games took place in Abbotsford this year from August 23
to 26 involving many participants 55 and older from all parts of the
province. Our local track and field club was well represented by some of
our elite senior athletes.
